You'd like to get more involved at church but you just don't know what's available. Is there a group that meets on Tuesday nights? Is there a mom's group that offers childcare? Is there a place for you to serve?

One way to find out is by checking out the groups in CCB (Church Community Builder). In fact, if you attend a Sunday School class on Sunday morning you're probably already in one. When you log into CCB you'll see a list of all the groups you're involved in on the right side of the screen. You can click on any of them to visit that group's page.

Looking For a New Group

Click on the 'Groups' icon on the main navigation bar on the left. Not only will you see your groups, but you'll also see a place to search for new groups. If you already know the name of the group you want to join, you can just search for it with its name.

You can also click on the magnifying glass to get some options to filter by. Are you looking for a bible study? A Women's Ministry group? A group that meets on a certain day or time of day? This will help you narrow it down.

Joining a Group

Once you've found the group you want to join, visit the group page and click on the button on the top right which will either say "Join" or "Request to Join" depending on the type of group it is. You'll either be added to the group right away or it will send an email to the group leader letting them know that you are interested in joining the group.

There are many different ways that CCB Groups are used in our church. Some groups are like email contact lists and it's a way for group leaders to get in contact with you about upcoming events or changes to meeting times. Some groups are a lot more interactive and you'll be able to communicate, sign up to serve, or RSVP for events. Groups can be a great way for you to get more involved at church.
